Ingredients:

  • 1/4 cabbage, finely shredded
  • 1/2 carrot, grated
  • 3 eggs, beaten
  • 10-11 rice paper sheets
  • Green onion, chopped
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 1/2 tbsp soy sauce
  • Black pepper, to taste
  • Cooking oil, for frying

 

For the dipping sauce:

  • 1 tbsp soy sauce
  • 1 tbsp sriracha sauce (chili sauce)
  • 1 tbsp water
  • 1/2 tbsp whole grain mustard

Directions:

  1. In a large bowl, combine the shredded cabbage, grated carrot, beaten eggs, chopped green onion, salt, soy sauce, and black pepper. Mix well.
  2. Soak a rice paper sheet in warm water for a few seconds until soft. Place a spoonful of the cabbage mixture onto the center of the rice paper.
  3. Fold in the sides of the rice paper and roll tightly to enclose the filling. Repeat with the remaining rice paper and filling.
  4. Heat some cooking oil in a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the cabbage rolls for a few minutes on each side until golden brown and crispy.
  5. In a small bowl, mix together the soy sauce, sriracha sauce, water, and whole grain mustard to make the dipping sauce.
  6. Serve the cabbage rolls hot with the dipping sauce on the side.
