Ingredients:

    • 4 chicken legs
    • Salt and freshly ground black pepper
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 3 tbsp unsalted butter
    • 1 large onion, chopped
    • 3 cloves garlic, minced
    • 3 tbsp Hungarian paprika, sweet or hot, or a combination
    • 2 tbsp flour
    • 1 cup crushed tomatoes or 1 large ripe tomato, chopped
    • 1 cup chicken broth or water
    • 3/4 cup sour cream
    • 1 cup noodle

 

Directions:

    1. Season the chicken legs with salt and freshly ground black pepper.
    2. In a large skillet, heat the olive oil and butter over medium heat. Add the chicken legs and cook until browned on all sides.
    3. Remove the chicken from the skillet and set aside. In the same skillet, add the chopped onion and minced garlic. Cook until the onion is translucent.
    4. Stir in the Hungarian paprika and flour, and cook for a minute.
    5. Add the crushed tomatoes and chicken broth. Bring to a simmer and return the chicken legs to the skillet.
    6. Cover and cook over low heat for about 25-30 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through.
    7. In a small bowl, mix the sour cream with a few tablespoons of the sauce from the skillet. Then, stir the sour cream mixture back into the skillet.
    8. Cook for an additional 5 minutes, or until the sauce is heated through.
