Preparation
- Activate the Yeast: In a small bowl, combine the warm milk, warm water, sugar, and dry yeast. Stir gently and let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until it becomes frothy.
- Prepare the Dough: In a large mixing bowl, combine the all-purpose flour and salt. Make a well in the center and pour in the yeast mixture, sunflower oil, and butter. Mix until a dough forms.
- Knead the Dough: Transfer the dough to a floured surface and knead for about 10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic. If the dough is too sticky, add a little more flour.
- First Rise: Place the dough in a lightly oiled bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
- Shape the Rolls: Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air. Divide the dough into 12 equal pieces. Flatten each piece, place a cube of mozzarella cheese in the center, and fold the edges over the cheese to seal it. Roll the dough into a ball shape.
- Second Rise: Place the rolls on a baking sheet lined with parchment paper, cover them with a kitchen towel, and let them rise for another 30 minutes.
- Bake: Preheat the oven to 180°C (350°F). Brush the tops of the rolls with a little melted butter for a golden finish. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until the rolls are golden brown and the cheese is melted and bubbly.
- Serve: Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. Enjoy them warm for the best experience.
