Preparation
- Prepare the Dough: In a large bowl, combine the flour, salt, and yeast.
- Add the lukewarm water and oil, mixing until a sticky dough forms.
- Cover the bowl with a damp cloth and let the dough ferment for about 1 hour, or until it has doubled in size.
- Shape the Dough: On a floured surface, gently fold the dough several times to incorporate some air.
- Roll out the dough to a large square, approximately 35 x 35 cm (14 x 14 inches).
- Sprinkle the finely chopped green onions over the rolled-out dough and fold it over a few times to evenly distribute the onions.
- Cook the Flatbread: Heat a skillet over low heat and add a small amount of cooking oil.
- Transfer the dough to the skillet and cook for about 6 minutes on each side.
- Press with a spatula; if it springs back, it is done.
- Optional Baking: For a different texture, you can bake the flatbread in a preheated oven at 170°C (340°F) for 20 minutes.
