Full Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 3 potatoes
  • Salt to taste
  • Fresh parsley, chopped
  • 100 grams mozzarella cheese (3.5 oz)
  • 1 teaspoon dried garlic
  • Hot peppers, finely chopped (to taste)
  • 5 tablespoons of potato starch
  • Sunflower oil for frying

Directions:

  1. Prepare Potatoes: Peel and grate the potatoes. Place the grated potatoes in a clean kitchen towel and squeeze out as much liquid as possible.
  2. Season: In a bowl, mix the dried grated potatoes with salt, dried garlic, chopped parsley, and finely chopped hot peppers.
  3. Form Cheese Balls: Cut the mozzarella cheese into small cubes. Take a small amount of the potato mixture and flatten it in your hand. Place a cube of cheese in the center and wrap the potato mixture around it, forming a ball. Ensure the cheese is completely enclosed.
  4. Coat in Starch: Roll each potato ball in potato starch to coat evenly. This will help create a crispy exterior when fried.
  5. Fry: Heat sunflower oil in a deep frying pan or pot. Once the oil is hot, carefully add the potato balls and fry until golden brown and crispy on all sides.
  6. Serve: Remove the potato balls from the oil and drain on paper towels. Serve hot with a sprinkle of fresh parsley and enjoy the delicious crunch!
