- 300 g (10.5 oz) spaghetti (durum wheat)
- 30 g (1 oz) butter
- 4 cloves of garlic, crushed and chopped
- 2 tbsp flour
- 500 ml (1 pint / 2 1/2 cups) milk, gradually adding
- Salt, pepper, paprika
- Herbal mixture
- 50 g (1.7 oz) grated Parmigiano Reggiano
- A handful of fresh parsley, chopped
Directions:
- Cook the spaghetti al dente according to package instructions. Reserve some pasta water for later.
- In a pan, melt the butter over medium heat. Add the garlic and sauté until fragrant.
- Stir in the flour and cook for a minute. Gradually add the milk, stirring continuously to avoid lumps.
- Season with salt, pepper, paprika, and the herbal mixture. Let the sauce simmer for 7-8 minutes until thickened.
