How to Make Sweet Chili Shrimp
- Rinse and pat the shrimp dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture.
- In a medium bowl, whisk together sweet chili sauce, soy sauce, sesame oil, minced garlic, and freshly grated ginger.
- In a large skillet or wok, heat vegetable oil over medium-high heat until it shimmers.
- Add the shrimp in a single layer, making sure not to overcrowd the pan. Cook for 2-3 minutes until they turn pink and opaque; flip halfway through.
- Once the shrimp are cooked, pour the prepared sauce over them. Toss gently to coat evenly and let it cook for another 2-3 minutes.
- Make sure the shrimp reach a safe internal temperature of 120°F (49°C).
- Remove from heat and sprinkle chopped green onions and sesame seeds on top for an eye-catching finish.
- Serve the Sweet Chili Shrimp immediately over your choice of cooked rice or noodles.
