Preparation
  1. Prepare the Rice: If you haven't pre-cooked your basmati rice, follow the package instructions to cook it until fluffy. Set it aside.
  2. Sauté Vegetables: In a skillet over medium heat, add onions, green bell peppers, and sliced mushrooms. Sauté for about 5–7 minutes until softened. Remove and set aside.
  3. Brown the Beef: In the same skillet, add the lean ground beef. Cook until browned and fully cooked, draining any excess fat.
  4. Add Flavor: Stir in Worcestershire sauce and beef broth, simmer for 2–3 minutes, then mix in sautéed veggies.
  5. Melt the Cheese: Top beef and veggie mixture with shredded cheese. Cover and melt on low heat.
  6. Assemble Meal Prep: Divide rice among meal prep containers and spoon cheesesteak mixture over the rice. Refrigerate for up to 4 days.
