- Mix melted butter, granulated sugar, vanilla extract, and salt in a large bowl.
- Gradually add all-purpose flour, stirring until the mixture becomes crumbly.
- Press about two-thirds of the crumbly mixture into the bottom of the prepared pan.
- Toss sliced apples with ground cinnamon and nutmeg in a separate bowl.
- Spread the apple mixture evenly over the crust.
- Drizzle salted caramel sauce over the apples.
- Crumble the remaining flour mixture over the caramel and apples.
- Bake for 40-45 minutes until topping is golden brown.
