Dough Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine flour, sugar, salt, and yeast. Gradually pour in warmed milk, melted butter, and egg, blending until a soft dough forms.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 5-7 minutes until it's smooth and elastic. Place it in a greased bowl, cover, and let it rise in a warm spot for 1 hour or until it doubles in size.
Filling and Shaping
- In a separate bowl, combine cream cheese, sugar, vanilla extract, and a pinch of salt. Mix until smooth, then gently fold in fresh raspberries.
- Once the dough has risen, gently punch it down and roll it out into a rectangular shape on a floured surface. Spread the cream cheese mixture evenly over the dough.
- Tightly roll the dough into a log, then slice it into 12 equal pieces. Arrange the rolls in a greased baking dish, cover, and allow them to rise for another 30 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Bake the rolls for about 20 minutes, or until they're golden brown.
- Let the rolls cool slightly before serving. They are delightful when enjoyed warm or at room temperature.
