Preparation
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and lightly spray with olive oil.
- In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the chopped cabbage with a splash of water until slightly softened (about 5-7 minutes). Drain any excess moisture and let it cool.
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the cooked cabbage, ground beef, chopped onion, shredded cheese, eggs, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper.
- Mix well until all ingredients are evenly combined.
- Form the mixture into burger-sized patties and place them on the prepared baking sheet.
- Bake for 25-30 minutes, flipping once halfway through, until the patties are golden and cooked through.
- Serve hot, optionally topped with sour cream, mustard, or your favorite burger sauce.
