How to Make Oreo Chocolate Chip Cookies
- In a mixing bowl, whisk together all-purpose flour, baking soda, and salt. Set aside while you prepare the wet ingredients.
- Take 5 Oreos and process them into fine crumbs using a food processor. Pulse 6 additional Oreos until they form small to medium pieces.
- In a large mixing bowl, beat the softened unsalted butter, brown sugar, and granulated sugar together until light and fluffy. Add pure vanilla extract, egg, and egg yolk, mixing until fully combined.
- Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet mixture, stirring until just combined. Fold in semi-sweet chocolate chips, Oreo crumbs, and pieces.
- Cover the bowl with cookie dough, and refrigerate it for 40 minutes.
- Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C). Scoop approximately 3 oz balls of dough onto parchment-lined cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Bake for 13-15 minutes.
- Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 4 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
