Ingredients

Ingredients
  • For the Batter: 3 eggs + 1 egg for brushing
  • 150 grams sugar
  • A pinch of salt
  • 100 ml vegetable oil
  • 70 ml milk
  • 200 grams flour
  • 1 tablespoon baking powder

Method

Preparation
  1. Preheat the Oven: Preheat your oven to 180°C (360°F).
  2. Prepare the Batter: In a large mixing bowl, beat the 3 eggs with 150 grams of sugar until light and fluffy.
  3. Add a pinch of salt, vegetable oil, and milk, and mix well.
  4. Gradually sift in the flour and baking powder, mixing until you have a smooth batter.
  5. Prepare the Filling: In a separate bowl, combine the cottage cheese, 3 tablespoons of sugar, and 1 tablespoon of starch. Mix until smooth and well combined.
  6. Assemble the Dessert: Grease your baking dish with oil. Pour half of the batter into the dish and spread it evenly.
  7. Spoon the cottage cheese mixture over the batter, spreading it out evenly.
  8. Pour the remaining batter over the cottage cheese layer, covering it completely.
  9. Bake: Beat the remaining egg and brush it over the top of the batter for a glossy finish.
  10. Bake in the preheated oven for 30-35 minutes, or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
  11. Cool and Serve: Allow the dessert to cool in the baking dish.
  12. Once cooled, dust with powdered sugar before serving.
