  • 1 cup All-Purpose Flour can substitute with gluten-free flour
  • 1 cup Granulated Sugar
  • 1/2 cup Unsweetened Cocoa Powder use Dutch-processed for richer taste
  • 1 tbsp Baking Powder
  • 1 tsp Baking Soda
  • 1/2 tsp Salt sea salt adds depth
  • 1/2 cup Unsalted Butter melted
  • 2 Large Eggs
  • 1 tsp Vanilla Extract or almond extract for a twist
  • 1 cup Milk can substitute with almond milk
For the Topping
  • 1 cup Chocolate Frosting store-bought or homemade
  • Edible Glitter optional, for decoration

Method
 

Instructions
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and prepare your cauldron molds.
  2. Whisk together flour, sugar, cocoa powder, baking powder, baking soda, and salt in a large bowl until no lumps remain.
  3. In another bowl, mix melted butter, eggs, and vanilla extract until well combined, then gradually add milk.
  4. Combine the wet ingredients with the dry mixture until just combined; a slightly lumpy batter is desirable.
  5. Fill each mold three-quarters full with batter and bake for 20-25 minutes until a toothpick comes out clean.
  6. Cool the cakes in their molds for 10 minutes before transferring them to a wire rack.
  7. Frost your cooled cakes with chocolate frosting and sprinkle with edible glitter.
