- Mix Ingredients: Grind the dates in a mixer until they form a paste. Combine the date paste with the ground oats, chopped walnuts, cinnamon, salt (if using), and orange zest. Mix well.
- Form Balls: Form the mixture into small balls, ensuring they are well-formed and compact.
- Refrigerate: Place the balls in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to set.
- Prepare the Chocolate Coating: Melt the sugar-free chocolate with olive oil in a water bath until smooth.
- Dip and Decorate: Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and decorate with the reserved chopped walnuts.
- Refrigerate Again: Place the chocolate-covered balls back in the refrigerator for another 15 minutes.
- Serve: Use paper molds to serve your delicious, vegan dessert.
