  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 pinch of salt optional
  • Zest of 1 orange
  • 100 g (3.5 oz) sugar-free chocolate
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil

  1. Prepare the Dates: Soak the dates in cold water for 15 minutes to remove preservatives and activate beneficial substances. After soaking, remove the pits.
  2. Prepare the Oats: Grind the rolled oats in a mixer until you achieve a fine consistency.
  3. Chop the Nuts: Chop the walnuts, setting aside some for decoration.
  4. Mix Ingredients: Grind the dates in a mixer until they form a paste. Combine the date paste with the ground oats, chopped walnuts, cinnamon, salt (if using), and orange zest. Mix well.
  5. Form Balls: Form the mixture into small balls, ensuring they are well-formed and compact.
  6. Refrigerate: Place the balls in the refrigerator for 15 minutes to set.
  7. Prepare the Chocolate Coating: Melt the sugar-free chocolate with olive oil in a water bath until smooth.
  8. Dip and Decorate: Dip each ball into the melted chocolate and decorate with the reserved chopped walnuts.
  9. Refrigerate Again: Place the chocolate-covered balls back in the refrigerator for another 15 minutes.
  10. Serve: Use paper molds to serve your delicious, vegan dessert.
