Preparation
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the warm water, instant yeast, and sugar. Stir until the yeast and sugar dissolve. Let it sit for about 5-10 minutes until the mixture becomes frothy.
- Add vegetable oil, milk, and salt to the yeast mixture. Stir well to combine.
- Gradually add the all-purpose flour to the wet ingredients, stirring continuously until a dough forms. The dough should come together and not be too sticky. If it's too wet, add a little more flour (up to 50 grams) as needed.
- Knead the dough on a floured surface for about 8-10 minutes until it becomes smooth and elastic.
- Place the dough in a greased bowl, cover it with a clean kitchen towel, and let it rise in a warm place for about 1-1.5 hours or until it doubles in size.
- Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
- Once the dough has risen, punch it down to release the air bubbles. Divide the dough into equal-sized portions and shape them into balls or desired shapes.
- Place the dough balls on the prepared baking sheet, leaving some space between each.
- Melt the butter and brush it over the top of each dough ball.
- Bake the bread in the preheated oven for about 20-25 minutes or until they are golden brown and sound hollow when tapped on the bottom.
- Remove the bread from the oven and let them cool on a wire rack before serving.
