  • 1 pound Fresh Crab Meat Canned is an alternative if fresh isn't available.
  • 1 pound Shrimp Deveined and peeled.
For the Base
  • 2 cups Heavy Cream Coconut milk can be used for a non-dairy version.
  • 1 cup Milk Half-and-half can be used for a less rich alternative.
  • 1 tablespoon Old Bay Seasoning Or a blend of paprika and celery salt.
  • 1 medium Onion Chopped.
  • 2 cloves Garlic Minced.
  • 1 stalk Celery Chopped.
  • 1 medium Carrot Diced.
  • 2 tablespoons Tomato Paste
  • 1 cup White Wine Can substitute with vegetable broth.
For Garnishing
  • 2 tablespoons Fresh Parsley Chopped.

Cooking Steps
  1. In a large pot, sauté chopped onion, garlic, celery, and diced carrots over medium heat until soft, about 5 minutes.
  2. Add in the tomato paste and stir for another 2 minutes, allowing it to caramelize slightly.
  3. Pour in the white wine and let it simmer for about 3-4 minutes.
  4. Gently add fresh crab meat, shrimp, Old Bay seasoning, and broth to the pot. Bring to a gentle simmer and let the seafood cook through, around 5-7 minutes.
  5. Incorporate the heavy cream and milk, stirring to combine. Simmer for an additional 3-4 minutes.
  6. If you prefer a smooth texture, use an immersion blender to blend until creamy.
  7. Ladle the bisque into bowls and garnish with fresh parsley.
