Method

How to Make Garlic Bread Sloppy Joe Melts
  1. Heat a skillet over medium heat and add 1 lb of your choice of ground meat, cooking until browned and fully cooked. Drain any excess fat.
  2. Add 1 small finely chopped onion and 2 minced garlic cloves to the skillet, stirring until translucent and fragrant, about 3-4 minutes.
  3. Stir in 1/4 cup ketchup, 1 tbsp Worcestershire sauce, 1 tbsp brown sugar, 1 tsp smoked paprika, along with salt and pepper. Let it simmer for about 5-7 minutes until thickened.
  4. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  5. Butter one side of 4 slices of thick-cut bread. This will help create a golden, crispy crust.
  6. Place the buttered bread slices on a baking sheet, spoon the sloppy joe mixture onto each slice and top with shredded mozzarella and grated Parmesan cheese.
  7. Bake for 10-12 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly. Broil for an additional 1-2 minutes if you want an extra crispy top.
  8. Allow to cool slightly before garnishing with fresh parsley and serve warm.
