Fresh Celery Juice

Fresh Celery Juice

Fresh celery juice made with celery, optional lemon, optional ginger, and a splash of water if using a blender.
Prep Time 7 minutes
Chill Time 3 minutes
Total Time 10 minutes
Servings: 1 16 oz serving

Ingredients

Ingredients
  • 2 large bunches organic celery roughly 10 to 12 stalks per bunch
  • 1/2 organic lemon peeled, optional, for brightness
  • 1 small knob fresh ginger optional, for a spicy kick
  • filtered water a splash, only if using a blender

Method

Preparation
  1. Wash the celery stalks thoroughly under cold running water, removing any dirt from the ribs.
  2. If using a juicer, feed the celery stalks through the chute one by one. If using a blender, chop the celery into 1-inch pieces and blend with a small splash of filtered water.
  3. For blender users, pour the blended celery through a fine-mesh nut milk bag or cheesecloth over a large bowl. Squeeze firmly to extract the juice and discard the dry pulp.
  4. Stir in lemon juice or ginger juice if using.
  5. Pour the fresh celery juice into a chilled glass and serve right away for the crispest flavor.

Notes

Use lemon and ginger only if you want a brighter or spicier flavor. Store any leftover juice in a full, airtight glass jar in the refrigerator for up to 24 hours and shake before serving.
