  • 8 slices Swiss Cheese Gruyère can be used

  • 1 cup Breadcrumbs (Panko or Regular) panko recommended for extra crunch
For the Cream Sauce
  • 1 cup Milk plant-based alternative possible
  • 2 tablespoons Dijon Mustard
  • 1/2 cup Parmesan Cheese grated
For Cooking
  • 2 tablespoons Olive Oil
  • 2 tablespoons Butter

How to Make Chicken Cordon Bleu
  1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
  2. Pound boneless chicken breasts to about ¼ inch thick. Layer with ham and Swiss cheese, roll tightly, and secure with toothpicks.
  3. Dredge each chicken roll in seasoned flour, dip in beaten eggs, and roll in breadcrumbs.
  4. Heat olive oil and butter in a skillet over medium heat. Sear each chicken roll for 2-3 minutes until golden brown.
  5. Place chicken rolls in a baking dish and bake for 20-25 minutes until the internal temperature reaches 165°F (74°C).
  6. In a saucepan, melt butter, whisk in flour, and gradually add milk to create a roux. Stir in Dijon mustard and Parmesan cheese until creamy.
  7. Remove toothpicks from chicken rolls, slice, and drizzle with creamy Dijon sauce. Garnish with parsley.
