  • 4 cups Potatoes thinly sliced
  • 2 cups Cheddar Cheese shredded
  • 10.5 ounces Cream of Mushroom Soup can substitute with cream of chicken
  • 1/2 cup Milk milk alternatives can be used
  • 1 teaspoon Garlic Powder or fresh minced garlic
  • 1 teaspoon Salt
  • 1 teaspoon Pepper

Preparation Steps
  1. Brown the Beef: In a skillet over medium heat, brown the ground beef with chopped onion until there’s no pink remaining, about 5-7 minutes.
  2. Slice the Potatoes: Thinly slice fresh potatoes to about 1/8-inch thick.
  3. Layer in the Crockpot: Layer half of the sliced potatoes, half of the cooked beef mixture, and a portion of cheddar cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients.
  4. Prepare the Sauce: Whisk together cream of mushroom soup, milk, garlic powder, salt, and pepper. Pour over layered ingredients.
  5. Cook Slowly: Cover and cook on low for 6 to 8 hours until potatoes are tender.
  6. Add More Cheese: In the last 15 minutes, sprinkle additional cheddar cheese on top.
  7. Garnish: Optional: Add fresh parsley or chives before serving.
