Cooking Steps
  1. Prepare the chicken by cutting breast into bite-sized pieces for uniform cooking.
  2. Mix cornstarch and all-purpose flour in a bowl. Add egg and mix until a smooth batter forms.
  3. Dip the chicken pieces into the batter, ensuring thorough coating.
  4. Heat oil in a wok over medium-high heat until shimmering, about 350°F (175°C).
  5. Fry chicken pieces in batches for 4-5 minutes until golden brown and crispy, then drain on paper towels.
  6. Make the sauce by cooking chili sauce, soy sauce, garlic, and grated ginger for 2-3 minutes on medium heat.
  7. Add fried chicken and sliced bell peppers to the sauce, stirring gently to coat for about 2 minutes.
  8. Garnish with chopped green onions before serving.
