  • 1 jar Sealed Glass Jars Choose various sizes
For the Ocean Floor
  • 1 cup Colored Sand or Baking Soda Use vibrant colors for layering
For the Decor
  • 1 cup Shells, Pebbles, and Mini Sea Creatures Select according to your theme
For the Ocean Effect
  • 2 cups Water Essential base for the ocean
  • 3 drops Blue Food Coloring Add to tint the water
  • 3 tablespoons Glycerin or Clear PVA Glue For thickening the water
  • 1 pinch Fine Glitter Use iridescent type for sparkle
For Sealing
  • 1 tube Waterproof Craft Glue or Silicone Sealant For sealing the jars

Method
 

How to Make Colorful Ocean in Jars
  1. Pour a half-inch to an inch layer of colored sand or tinted baking soda into the bottom of the jar.
  2. Arrange shells, pebbles, and miniature sea creatures on top of the sand.
  3. Fill the jar halfway with water. Add 2-3 drops of blue food coloring and stir gently.
  4. Incorporate 2-3 tablespoons of glycerin or clear PVA glue to thicken the water.
  5. Sprinkle a generous pinch of fine glitter into the jar.
  6. Fill the jar to about an inch from the top with more water, leaving space for sealing.
  7. Seal the jar firmly with waterproof craft glue around the lid.
  8. Turn the jar upside down to enjoy the swirling ocean effect.
