Chai Streusel Topping

Method
 

Muffin Preparation
  1. Preheat the oven to 375°F (190°C) and prepare a muffin tin with liners or non-stick spray.
  2. In a bowl, combine the flour, brown sugar, and chai spices for streusel. Mix with cold butter until it resembles coarse crumbs.
  3. In another bowl, combine flour, baking powder, salt, and chai spices for the batter.
  4. In a separate bowl, whisk sugar and melted butter; add eggs, milk, and vanilla.
  5. Fold wet mixture into dry ingredients, mixing gently.
  6. Fold in diced apples.
  7. Fill muffin cups ¾ full and sprinkle with streusel.
  8. Bake for 22-25 minutes until golden brown.
  9. Cool in the pan for 5 minutes before transferring to a wire rack.
