  • 2 tablespoons ground turmeric
  • 1 tablespoon fresh ginger, finely grated
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • A pinch of black pepper to activate the turmeric

  1. In a medium-sized glass bowl, begin by adding your raw honey. If the honey has crystallized, you can gently warm the jar in a bowl of warm water (not exceeding 105°F) to make it easier to stir, though keeping it raw preserves the natural enzymes.
  2. Add the ground turmeric, ginger, and cinnamon to the honey. Whisk these dry and fresh ingredients together slowly until the mixture becomes a smooth, vibrant orange paste.
  3. Pour in the lemon juice and add a crack of fresh black pepper. The acidity of the lemon helps balance the sweetness, while the piperine in black pepper is essential for absorbing the curcumin found in turmeric.
  4. Stir the mixture one last time until all elements are fully incorporated. Transfer the concentrate into a sterilized glass jar for long-term use.
