  • 1 tbsp Worcestershire Sauce Soy sauce can be used as alternative.
For the Creamy Base
  • 16 oz Sour Cream Greek yogurt is a low-fat substitute.
  • 10.5 oz Cheddar Cheese Soup Homemade cheese sauce is fresher.
  • 1 cup Shredded Cheddar Cheese Can mix with Monterey Jack.
  • optional Bacon Omit for a lighter option.
For the Topping
  • 32 oz Frozen Tater Tots Fresh potatoes can be used as well.

Method
 

Preparation Steps
  1. Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and lightly spray a 9x13 baking dish with nonstick spray.
  2. Cook ground beef with diced onion in a skillet over medium-high heat until browned, about 7-10 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
  3. Season the beef mixture with garlic powder, smoked paprika, Worcestershire sauce, salt, and pepper. Mix well.
  4. Combine sour cream and cheddar cheese soup in a large bowl, stirring until smooth.
  5. Fold in the beef-onion mixture along with shredded cheddar cheese.
  6. Spread the mixture into the prepared baking dish. If using bacon, sprinkle slices on top.
  7. Arrange frozen tater tots in a single layer on top.
  8. Top with remaining shredded cheddar cheese.
  9. Bake for 45-50 minutes, until tater tots are golden brown and cheese is bubbly. Let cool for 5 minutes.
