Ingredients
2 cups elbow macaroni
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
2 cups whole milk
3 tbsp butter
3 tbsp all-purpose flour
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp smoked paprika
Salt and pepper to taste
6 slices crispy cooked bacon, crumbled
Fresh basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
Cook the macaroni according to package instructions, drain, and set aside.
In a saucepan, melt butter over medium heat. Stir in the flour and cook for 1-2 minutes. Gradually whisk in the milk and continue stirring until the sauce thickens.
Add garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper to the sauce. Stir in the cheddar, mozzarella, and Parmesan cheeses until melted and smooth.
Combine the cooked macaroni with the cheese sauce and mix well. Pour the mixture into the prepared baking dish.
Top with crumbled bacon and an additional sprinkle of cheese if desired. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until bubbly and golden on top.
Garnish with fresh basil leaves before serving, if desired.
