Ingredients
– 1 pound ground beef
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 1 large egg
– 1/4 cup diced onion
– 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
– 1 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
– 1/4 cup cooked and crumbled bacon
– Fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)
Instructions
1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Lightly grease a baking sheet or line it with parchment paper.
2. In a large bowl, mix ground beef, breadcrumbs, egg, diced onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper until combined. Avoid overmixing.
3. Divide the mixture into four equal portions and shape into thick patties. Create a shallow well in the center of each patty using your thumb.
4. Place the patties on the prepared baking sheet. Bake for 20-25 minutes or until fully cooked (internal temperature of 160°F/71°C).
5. Remove the patties from the oven and sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese evenly over the top of each patty. Return to the oven for 3-5 minutes, or until the cheese melts.
6. Top with crumbled bacon and garnish with fresh parsley before serving.
