Instructions
- Prepare the Filling
- In a skillet over medium heat, add olive oil and sauté the sliced onion and green onion until caramelized, about 5 minutes. Season with a pinch of salt and black pepper.
- Add chopped spinach and stir until it wilts, then add chopped parsley and dill. Remove from heat and set aside to cool slightly.
- Prepare the Batter
- In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the eggs, salt, black pepper, and garlic powder until combined.
- Add olive oil and milk, whisking until smooth. Mix in the cream cheese until fully incorporated.
- Gradually add sifted flour and baking powder to the wet ingredients, stirring until a smooth batter forms.
- Assemble the Tart
- Add the sautéed spinach and onion mixture to the batter, folding in gently to combine.
- Grease a baking dish or line it with parchment paper. Pour half of the batter into the dish, then evenly distribute the cheese triangle cubes over the batter. Pour the remaining batter on top, spreading it to cover the cheese pieces.
- Bake
- Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Bake for 30 minutes, or until golden and a toothpick comes out clean from the center.
- If desired, sprinkle mozzarella cheese over the top in the last 5 minutes of baking for a cheesy finish.
- Serve
- Let the tart cool slightly before slicing. Serve warm for best results.
