Spicy Beef Stir-Fry with Garlic Rice: A Flavor-Packed Comfort Food Recipe

  • Author: Kimberly

Ingredients

For the Beef Stir-Fry:
– 1 lb beef strips (sirloin or flank steak)
– 1 large onion, sliced
– 3 garlic cloves, minced
– 2-3 red chilies, sliced
– 2 tbsp soy sauce
– 1 tbsp oyster sauce
– 1 tsp cornstarch mixed with 2 tbsp water (optional for thickening)
– 2 tbsp vegetable oil

For the Garlic Rice:
– 2 cups cooked white rice
– 2 garlic cloves, minced
– 1 tbsp butter or oil
– Salt to taste

Instructions

1. Heat oil in a large skillet or wok over high heat. Sear the beef strips for 2-3 minutes until browned. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, sauté onions, garlic, and chilies until fragrant and slightly softened, about 3-4 minutes.
3. Add soy sauce, oyster sauce, and a splash of water to the skillet. Return the beef to the pan and stir well. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. If needed, stir in cornstarch slurry to thicken the sauce.
4. For the garlic rice, heat butter in a separate skillet. Add minced garlic and sauté until golden and aromatic. Toss in the cooked rice, season with salt, and stir well.
5. Serve the beef stir-fry hot over garlic rice and garnish with sliced chilies or green onions.
