Ingredients:

  • Puff pastry: 700g (24.69 oz)
  • Prosciutto: 100g (3.5 oz)
  • Feta cheese: 150g (5.3 oz)
  • Thyme: 7g (0.25 oz)
  • Garlic: 25g (0.9 oz), minced
  • Mushrooms: 250g (8.8 oz), sliced
  • Black pepper: 3g (0.11 oz)
  • Salt: 5g (0.18 oz)
  • Egg: 1, beaten (for egg wash)

 

For the Sauce:

  • Hard cheese: 200g (7 oz), grated
  • Cheese cream: 120g (4.23 oz)
  • Sour cream: 120g (4.23 oz)
  • Tomatoes: 70g (2.47 oz), diced
  • Salt: 5g (0.18 oz)
  • Black pepper: 4g (0.14 oz)
  • Garlic powder: 5g (0.18 oz)
  • Sweet paprika: 5g (0.18 oz)

Directions:

  1. Preheat the oven to 180°C (356°F). Line a 32 x 46 cm (12 x 18 in) baking tray with parchment paper.
  2. Roll out the puff pastry on the prepared tray.
  3. Evenly distribute the prosciutto slices over the pastry.
  4. Crumble the feta cheese and sprinkle it over the prosciutto.
  5. In a pan, sauté the sliced mushrooms and minced garlic with a bit of oil until the mushrooms are golden. Season with salt, pepper, and thyme.
  6. Spread the sautéed mushrooms over the feta cheese.
  7. Brush the edges of the pastry with beaten egg.
  8. Bake in the preheated oven for 35 minutes, or until the pastry is golden and puffed.
  9. While the pastry is baking, prepare the sauce. In a bowl, mix together the grated hard cheese, cheese cream, sour cream, diced tomatoes, salt, black pepper, garlic powder, and sweet paprika until well combined.
  10. Once the pastry is done, let it cool for a few minutes before slicing. Serve with the prepared sauce on the side.
