Full Recipe:

Ingredients:

  • 1 egg
  • 60 g (6 tbsp) sugar
  • 130 ml milk
  • 2 g (1/2 tsp) salt
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 150 g (1 1/4 cup) cake flour or all-purpose flour
  • 5 g (2/3 tbsp) baking powder
  • 50 ml cooking oil
  • 10 g unsalted butter
  • 15 g (1.5 tbsp) unrefined sugar or sugar
  • 2 bananas

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, whisk together the egg and sugar until well combined.
  2. Add the milk, salt, and vanilla extract to the bowl and mix well.
  3. Sift in the cake flour and baking powder, then mix until just combined.
  4. Stir in the cooking oil until the batter is smooth.
  5. Heat a 20 cm small frying pan over low heat and add the unsalted butter.
  6. Once the butter has melted, sprinkle the unrefined sugar evenly over the bottom of the pan.
  7. Slice the bananas and arrange them on top of the sugar in the pan.
  8. Pour the batter over the bananas, spreading it evenly.
  9. Cook the cake on low heat for 25 minutes. If the cooking sound is too strong, reduce the heat slightly. If there’s no reaction after 5 minutes, increase the heat a bit.
  10. After 25 minutes, reduce the heat to very low and cook for an additional 5 minutes.
  11. Turn off the heat and let the cake cool in the pan for a few minutes before carefully flipping it onto a plate.
