Italian-Style Tacos: A Delicious Fusion of Flavors

Ingredients

– 12 small flour or corn tortillas
– 1 pound ground beef or Italian sausage
– 1 cup marinara sauce
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– 1/2 teaspoon salt
– 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– Fresh basil, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain excess grease.
2. Add marinara sauce, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. Warm the tortillas in a dry skillet or microwave until pliable.
4. Spoon the meat mixture into each tortilla, then sprinkle with mozzarella cheese. Fold the tortillas slightly to form tacos.
5. Place the tacos on a baking sheet, sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, and broil for 2-3 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Garnish with fresh basil and serve warm.
