  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1/2 teaspoon dried oregano
  • 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional, for heat)
  • 1/4 cup fresh parsley, chopped
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • 1 large egg, beaten

Instructions

  • Prepare the Chicken: Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C). Pat dry the chicken breasts with paper towels. Season both sides with salt and pepper.
  • Create the Coating: In a shallow bowl, combine the grated parmesan, breadcrumbs, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, oregano, and red pepper flakes. In another shallow bowl, beat the egg.
  • Coat the Chicken: Dip each chicken breast into the beaten egg, ensuring it’s fully coated. Then press the chicken into the breadcrumb mixture, covering both sides with the parmesan and breadcrumb mixture.
  • Cook the Chicken: Heat the olive oil and butter in a large oven-safe skillet over medium heat. Add the coated chicken breasts to the pan and sear for 3-4 minutes on each side until golden and crispy.
  • Bake the Chicken: Once both sides are seared, transfer the skillet to the preheated oven. Bake for 20-25 minutes until the chicken is cooked through and the internal temperature reaches 165°F (75°C).
