ground beef (1 lb)
onion, diced (1 medium)
garlic, minced (2 cloves)
frozen mixed vegetables (1 1/2 cups)
tomato paste (2 tablespoons)
beef broth (1/2 cup)
Worcestershire sauce (1 tablespoon)
mashed potatoes, prepared (4 cups)
cheddar cheese, shredded (1 1/2 cups)
olive oil (1 tablespoon)
salt (1 teaspoon)
black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)
Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×9-inch baking dish.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Cook onion and garlic until softened. Add ground beef and cook until browned. Drain excess fat.
3. Stir in tomato paste, Worcestershire sauce, beef broth, and frozen vegetables. Simmer for 5 minutes. Season with salt and pepper.
4. Spread the beef mixture evenly in the baking dish. Top with mashed potatoes, spreading to cover completely.
5. Sprinkle shredded cheddar cheese over the potatoes. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Let cool for 5 minutes before serving.
