Ingredients
– 12 oz penne pasta, cooked according to package instructions
– 2 chicken breasts, sliced into thin strips
– 2 tablespoons olive oil
– 3 cloves garlic, minced
– 2 cups heavy cream
– 1 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– 1/4 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)
– Salt and pepper to taste
– Fresh parsley for garnish
Instructions
1. Heat olive oil in a large skillet over medium heat. Season chicken strips with salt and pepper, then cook until golden and fully cooked, about 5-6 minutes. Remove and set aside.
2. In the same skillet, lower the heat and add garlic, sautéing until fragrant (about 30 seconds). Pour in heavy cream and stir, bringing to a gentle simmer.
3. Add Parmesan cheese, Italian seasoning, and red pepper flakes (if using). Stir until the sauce thickens and coats the back of a spoon, about 3-4 minutes.
4. Return the cooked chicken to the skillet and toss to coat. Add the cooked penne pasta, mixing until well combined.
5. Adjust seasoning with salt and pepper as needed. Garnish with parsley and extra Parmesan before serving.
