Ingredients
1 lb ground beef
2 cups cooked white rice
1 small onion, finely chopped
1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes
1/2 cup tomato sauce
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 teaspoon paprika
1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
Salt and pepper to taste
1 1/2 cups shredded cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese blend)
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).
In a skillet, cook the ground beef with chopped onions until fully browned. Drain excess grease.
Add diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, garlic powder, paprika, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer for 5 minutes.
In a baking dish, layer the cooked rice, followed by the beef mixture.
Top with shredded cheese. Cover with foil and bake for 15 minutes, then remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes to melt and brown the cheese.
