BAKED SPAGHETTI CASSEROLE WITH BACON AND CHEESE: A COMFORT FOOD CLASSIC

  • Author: Kimberly

Ingredients

spaghetti, cooked and drained (12 oz)
bacon, cooked and crumbled (6 strips)
cheddar cheese, shredded (2 cups)
cream cheese, softened (4 oz)
sour cream (1/2 cup)
marinara sauce (2 cups)
onion, diced (1 medium)
garlic, minced (2 cloves)
olive oil (1 tablespoon)
salt (1 teaspoon)
black pepper (1/2 teaspoon)

Instructions

1. Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C) and grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium heat. Sauté onion and garlic until softened, about 3 minutes. Stir in marinara sauce, salt, and black pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes.
3. In a large bowl, combine cooked spaghetti, cream cheese, sour cream, half of the shredded cheddar, and the marinara sauce mixture. Toss until evenly coated.
4. Transfer the spaghetti mixture to the prepared baking dish. Sprinkle the remaining cheddar cheese and crumbled bacon on top.
5. Bake for 20-25 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
6. Let rest for 5 minutes before serving. Garnish with fresh parsley, if desired.
