Lasagna Roll-Ups Recipe: A Delicious Twist on a Classic Italian Dish

Ingredients

– 12 lasagna noodles, cooked and drained
– 1 lb ground beef or turkey
– 1 cup ricotta cheese
– 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
– 2 cups marinara sauce (plus extra for serving)
– 1 egg
– 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
– 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
– 1/2 teaspoon onion powder
– Salt and pepper to taste
– 2 tablespoons fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C) and lightly grease a 9×13-inch baking dish.
2. In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain any excess grease and stir in 1/2 cup of marinara sauce. Set aside to cool slightly.
3. In a bowl, mix ricotta cheese, 1/2 cup mozzarella, Parmesan, egg, Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper until combined.
4. Lay out each lasagna noodle on a clean surface. Spread a thin layer of the ricotta mixture over the noodle, then spoon some of the meat mixture on top. Roll up the noodle tightly and place seam-side down in the prepared baking dish.
5. Pour the remaining marinara sauce over the rolled noodles, ensuring they are fully coated. Sprinkle the rest of the mozzarella cheese on top.
6. Cover the dish with foil and bake for 25 minutes. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
7. Garnish with fresh parsley and serve
