Cheesy Cabbage Steaks with Marinara

Ingredients

– 1 medium cabbage, sliced into thick steaks
– 1 cup marinara sauce
– 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
– 1/2 cup breadcrumbs
– 2 tbsp olive oil
– Fresh basil leaves for garnish
– Salt and black pepper to taste


Instructions

1. Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.
2. Brush both sides of the cabbage steaks with olive oil, season with salt and pepper, and place them on the prepared sheet.
3. Roast the cabbage for 20-25 minutes, flipping halfway, until tender and lightly caramelized.
4. Remove from the oven and spoon marinara sauce over each steak. Top generously with mozzarella cheese and breadcrumbs.
5. Return to the oven and broil on high for 3-5 minutes, until the cheese is bubbly and the breadcrumbs are golden.
6. Garnish with fresh basil leaves and serve warm.
