BACON CHEESEBURGER SLOPPY JOES: A TWIST ON A CLASSIC

Ingredients

– 1 lb ground beef
– 1/2 onion, finely diced
– 1/4 cup ketchup
– 2 tablespoons BBQ sauce
– 1 tablespoon mustard
– 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
– 6 slices cooked bacon, crumbled
– 4 slices American cheese
– 4 burger buns, toasted


Instructions

1. In a skillet over medium heat, cook ground beef and diced onion until beef is browned and cooked through. Drain excess grease.
2. Stir in ketchup, BBQ sauce, mustard, and Worcestershire sauce. Simmer for 5 minutes until thickened.
3. Toast burger buns under a broiler or on a skillet until golden.
4. Assemble the sandwiches by spooning the sloppy joe mixture onto the bottom bun. Top with a slice of cheese, crumbled bacon, and the top bun.
5. Serve immediately and enjoy the cheesy, saucy goodness!
